City History Tree Ring Art

Inspired by the natural record preserved within tree rings, the City History Collection explores the story of a place through time.

Each design is created using a real tree that once grew within or very near the city it represents. Coloured rings throughout the artwork highlight defining local and global events that occurred during the life of the tree itself, transforming years of growth into a visual timeline of the city’s history.

The collection currently features Calgary, with future city releases being added over time.
